Cultural Traffic, NYC

It was so much fun! And it was free!
(Just a bit of old-school LES creativity was just what we needed. Thank you Cultural Traffic!)

We had the very best time at Cultural Traffic--registering New York voters and selling covetable, politically charged t-shirts and merchandise by Rashid Johnson and Marlene McCarty. MANY THANKS to Cultural Traffic for inviting us to join in the fun.

Every year, Cultural Traffic transforms the Hester Street Fair during NY Art Week for a celebration of old-school radical print and creativity on the Lower East Side. The live performances, great food and drink, and the fruitful exchange of books, zines, and printed matter from over 50 exhibitors are not-to-be-missed. It was art fair filled weekend with artists, resistors, publishers, DIY culture makers, performers, outsiders, friends, and more.

For those of you who stopped to say hello – it was so great to meet you.  Yes, we have our sights on some critical election dates for New Yorkers, so we’re signing up volunteers for the political work ahead.
